Acts   19: 1-2

In scripture the word “baptism” has three applications.

1)    Salvation Baptism:baptized into the Body of Christ.
         I Corinthians 12:13
         Galatians 3: 26-27
         John 20:19-22
         Luke 24:49 
         Acts 1: 3-5

2)   Water Baptism
       Matthew 28:19

3)   Baptism in the Holy Spirit
       Acts 8: 5-17

God has a journey He is wanting to take you on.

     I John 5: 7-8

Three baptisms:
1)    The Spirit - baptism in the Spirit
2)    The Water - water baptism
3)    The Blood - the cross; it’s what Jesus did so we can be
forgiven of our sins.

Why does God desire to baptize you in the Holy Spirit? Because God designed you to live a spirit empowered life.

Why is the Baptism of the Holy Spirit a separate experience? Simply because it is different. God did not want anything attached to your salvation experience except what Jesus did.
