I Chronicles 29:3 ”This is not just a place for people to meet each other, but a
house for God to meet us.” MSG I Chronicles 29:5 ”And now, how about you? Who among you is ready and willing to join in the giving?” MSG At the end of the day, what you truly are giving is HOPE. He who offers the most HOPE, has the most influence. HOPE is a confident anticipation, hocked onto something that is solid. Hebrews 6:19 ”We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure...” NIV For most people, HOPE is a verb. It is something you do. For believers, followers of Jesus, HOPE is something we have. It’s a noun. Romans 15:13 ”May God, the source of hope, fill you with joy and peace through your faith in Him. Then you’ll overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” GWT Sources of HOPE: 1) God’s PRESENCE Psalm 62:5 ”I must find rest in God only, because my hope comes from Him!” CEB 2) God’s PROMISE Psalm 119:81 ”My soul faints with longing for your salvation, but I have put my hope in your word.” NIV 3) God’s PROCESS Romans 5: 2b-3a ”...and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we also rejoice in our tribulations (sufferings)...” ASV Romans 5: 3-4 ”And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance, and perseverance, character; and character, hope.” NKJ 4) God’s PURPOSE Jeremiah 29:11 ”For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” NIV 5) God’s PLACE John 14: 1-2 ”Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?” NLT
