Five questions for a Supernatural Generation

1. Am I parenting (mentoring) by convenience?
   Convenient parenting can brainwash kids and push them away.
2. Do I have a culture dashboard for my home?
   Are we a media centered family, or a relationship centered family?
   Gauges for TV, music, cell phone, computer, friends
3. Who owns their hear?
   Peers are drawing them away
   Culture is pulling them away
   You as the parent, (mentor) "lean into the relationship."

   Time is investing with experiences
   Whoever owns their heart has the most authority in their life
4. Am I going through the windows of the heart?
   Malichi 4:6a "He will turn the hearts of the parents to thier children, and the hearts of the children to their parents...." NIV
5. How am I communicating my values?
   You teach what you know, but you impart who you are.
   a) Establish a family covenant.
   b) Build covenant friends.
   c) Get them around to hear the echoes of others with your values.
