Romans 13: 1-7

God leads His church differently than the world.
The goal of government is not evangelism - it’s peace.
How do we lead? How does the Kingdom actually affect or influence the world?

Luke 13: 18-21
Jesus made two profound statements:

Luke 16:8 - The sons of this age are more shrewd in their relation to their own kind than the sons of light.
Matthew 10:16 - I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be as wise as serpents and harmless as doves.

How does the Kingdom come in government?

God kneads them into the dough of society and it doesn’t take a lot of Kingdom for all the dough to rise. An example of this is Daniel - Daniel 4: 8-9

I Timothy 2: 1-4

When we pray for leaders, we create the atmosphere so that freedom gets used that will benefit the kingdom.
When we curse the leaders, who are doing evil, we actually close the heavens and relegate them to only have demonic influence.
Isaiah 9:7a - “Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end”
“In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing.” Theodore Roosevelt
