A Little Bit of Wisdom Pt.1

  Proverbs 4:7 “Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom. Though it cost
  all you have, get understanding.” NIV

  WISDOM - the Hebrew word means skilled living.

  WISDOM comes from God.

  Proverbs 26:12 “Do you see a man wise in his own eyes? There is more
  hope for a fool than for him.” NKJ

  Four types of people in Proverbs:
​
  1) The SIMPLE.
       Proverbs 7:7
      The Cure: Time

  2) The FOOL.
       Proverbs 10:23
       The Cure: Tragedy

  3) The MOCKER.
       Proverbs 9: 7-8
       The Cure: God
  4) The WISE.
       Proverbs 9:9 “Instruct the wise and they will be wiser still; teach the
       righteous and they will add to their learning.” NIV

  THE FEAR OF THE LORD

  Proverbs 9:10 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and
  knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” NIV
  1) God is AWESOME.
       Psalm 33:8
       Isaiah 40:28
  2) God is HOLY.
       Psalm 99:5
       Hebrews 12: 28-29
  3) God is RIGHT.
       Psalm 19: 7-11
       Proverbs 19:23 “Fear of the Lord leads to life, bringing security and
       protection from harm.” NLT

 A little bit of WISDOM #1:     When I understand what it means to fear God,
