I Thessalonians 4: 13-14; 18
Believe on Jesus... Earth is as close to hell as you’ll ever get.
It only gets better.
If you haven’t believed on Jesus yet... Earth is as close to heaven as
you’ll ever get. It only gets worse.

Matthew 20: 17-19
Mark 11: 12-22
Jesus wants fruit from our lives.
Realities we find from the fig tree:
1) Alone. It was by itself.
2) Appearance. Leaves don’t sustain anything.
3) Absent. No fruit - no life.
How do we change this situation?
The Bible describes another type of tree.
Psalm 92: 12-15
Ways to bear fruit:
1) Roots. Roots are the secret part of the tree that no one
sees but everybody benefits from.
2) Rain. Rain is the presence of God.
Worship changes the environment. The environment
matters if you want to produce fruit.
Community. It’s staying in an environment where others
are growing with me and I’m growing with them.
The ultimate goal is that we live a life that reveals Jesus.
Ephesians 5: 22-28
Philippians 2: 5-11
Humility is a principle/conviction where we admit, we don’t know everything.
The willingness to listen is the first step of humility.
I Peter 5:5
You have to live with other people in mind.
I Peter 5:6
God is needing your permission to exalt you.
How do we give God permission to exalt us? Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God.
Humility is the willingness to make adjustments.
I Peter 5:8 “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he MAY devour.” NKJ
The devil is looking for a proud person. It gives him permission.

Luke 4: 16-21
Luke 7: 11-17
If you will put yourself in awkward Jesus moments, He’ll set you on a collision course with compassion.
What does it mean to be the hands and feet of Jesus? It’s compassion.
It is amazing how God develops compassion in our lives.
II Corinthians 1: 3-4
How does this work practically?
1) We are to GO to the pain. Just lean in.
2) We are to LOOK for the lost. Lost things are valuable.
3) We are to LOVE the unlovable. If you have LIFE, you will love the unlovable.
4) We are to GIVE hope to the hurting.
5) We are to OFFER the grace of God to people.
Oh, that God would set us on a collision course with compassion, so we become the hands and feet of Jesus because there is nothing more rewarding in life than we go from ME to WE.
