Understanding the times (3): Times and Seasons | Pastor Mark Harrell | Play/Download
Ecclesiastes 3:1 "For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven."
Time is what is under the sun or under heaven.
Above the sun is the spiritual world or seasons.
The spiritual is where we need to live in order to have peace in the natural world.
Ephesians 2: 4-6
Time: It refers to an incident or a happening; a moment; things under the sun.
Seasons: Eternal things; the world above the sun
Ecclesiastes 9:11 "I have seen something else under the sun: the race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned; but time and chance happen to them all."
Ecclesiastes 3:11 "He has made everything beautiful in it's time..."
To live a full, productive life, finishing strong, means you have an above the sun perspective in an under the sun moment.
The secret of time is contentment
Phil 4:11 "... I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances."
Phil 4:13 "I can do all things though Christ who strengthens me."
